Roads and Transport Authority RTA Dubai in a bold move towards sustainability and accessibility, has launched a brand new eco-friendly bus service that will be available to peeps in the Emirate for free.

This new initiative is all set to change the city’s transportation landscape and will redefine your daily commute. RTA’s New Free Bus Service: Route and Stations

The RTA’s new free bus service is a convenient option for anyone seeking to explore Dubai on a budget. The bus route named eB1 starts from La Mer South and goes all the way towards Al Sufouh Tram Station. The bus stops at different landmarks and popular tourist attractions on its way towards the final stop.

The bus starts off its journey every day from La Mer South station and stops first at the Mercato Mall station. There are lots of touristy things you can do at the mall including the famous Mercato Slide. If you are keen on exploring the city and visiting all the hot stops, this service can be a handy option.

The bus then stops at Rashid Bin Bakhait Masjid and Masjid Al Ghoreifa on its way towards the Dubai Offshore Sailing Club. From here passengers can head off to Umm Suqeim 1, then Umm Suqeim Park, and finally towards the utterly popular Wild Wadi Waterpark.

Next stops include some of Dubai’s most famous landmarks and attractions including Burj Al Arab. You can take a tour of the majestic hotel and dine in at any one of its many upscale restaurants and cafes.

The bus takes a final stop at the Al Sufouh Tram station which connects to the Palm Jumeirah Tram Station, Mina Seyahi Tram Station, Knowledge Village Tram Station, Media City Tram Station, Marina Towers Tram Station, Marina Mall, JLT Tram Station, JBR 2 Tram Station, and JBR 1 Tram Station.

You can board the bus from any of the stops on the route.

Timings for RTA’s Free Bus Service:

The new free bus service in Dubai runs daily after every 2 hours starting from 10 in the morning until 10 at night. As for the reverse journey, the bus departs every two hours from Al Sufouh Tram Station daily beginning from 10.40 am until 10.40 pm.

The announcement for free bus rides in Dubai was made on August 23rd by RTA on its official social media handles. The authority has declared the service as a free trial which may end anytime soon without a prior announcement.

The launch of the free bus service however, is an exciting development for tourists and residents alike as they can for the time being roam around Dubai and visit popular hotspots in the city for less. So grab the opportunity whilst it lasts and commute at zero cost!
